But i guess the time has come to move to Python 2.7 and probably include python 3 in testing/ where people can try and use it on their own.<br />Python 2.7 has entered security updates only, so only bug fixes releasesWilly Sudiarto Raharjohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12738382924950315620noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7534848307469799413.post-22609436433695909092012-05-21T00:37:23.446+07:002012-05-21T00:37:23.446+07:00It's actually Python 3.2 now, not 3.1, and at ...It's actually Python 3.2 now, not 3.1, and at the end of summer there will be 3.3. :-) Although it's too early to switch to 3.x entirely, there's too many things that still require 2.x.<br /><br />I'm also (patiently) waiting for 2.7 in -current. I sent updated x86_64 patch for 2.7.2 (also works with 2.7.3 unmodified) to Pat last year, after 13.37 was released, but I guess it got postponed during the slow period in -current. And it's not that easy to upgrade, since there are quite a few packages that depend on Python and will need to be rebuilt/upgraded.Audrius Kažukauskashttp://neutrino.lt/noreply@blogger.com
