I don't know the rule about naming the schedule date.

ThanksWilly Sudiarto Raharjohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12738382924950315620noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7534848307469799413.post-21275429874796718802007-05-30T19:49:00.000+07:002007-05-30T19:49:00.000+07:00yes, but considering the ammount of changes Pat ha...yes, but considering the ammount of changes Pat has put through this time, he can't really justify (apart from a " well, I felt like it") a minor version change. I mean, we have a new gcc, new toolchain, new modular X, newer KDE, dbus and hal..

Over on A.O.L.S there i a bout of "Slackware fun and release games" basically guessing when Slack will be released ;) Totally useles as you pointed out. but fun.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7534848307469799413.post-992857132495498222007-05-30T07:50:00.000+07:002007-05-30T07:50:00.000+07:00Interesting, as Pat usually never jumps on release...Interesting, as Pat usually never jumps on release version. It has been a tradition that Slackware final will use .0 and the updates will be .1 or .2 like before.

Another thing that is also interesting is predicting when will the next Slackware release comes out, as Pat himself never said when it will be released. "It will be released when it's ready."Willy Sudiarto Raharjohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12738382924950315620noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7534848307469799413.post-72133492323403404482007-05-30T06:45:00.000+07:002007-05-30T06:45:00.000+07:00I think it's already more or less confirmed that t...I think it's already more or less confirmed that the next version will be Slackware 12.0.

Have a look through /var/log/Xorg.0.log for various mentions and with all the changes. 11.1 would really cut it. :-)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
