i know better solution for Your problem.
Insta...Hi,
i know better solution for Your problem.
Install gst-ffmpeg and other plugins:
gst-plugins-bad
gst-plugins-base
gst-plugins-good
gst-plugins-ugly
If You chose gstreamer as backend then amarok will play everything that gstreamer can. You can test gstreamer support for specyfic song with gst-discoverer.
In my case, amarok in default slackware gst installation doesn't play muse pack files. When it find it then it stop. After installing all gst-plugins, I have no more amarok hangs.
I used mplayer backend before - but it can't detect my external usb
speakers and can't auto switch to it when it is connected.
gstreamer with phonon can do that.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
